We believe in communication and information. This website is to give greater insight and detail to those who are already familiar with the band Rockbitch. It is also to explain in our words, and from our point of view what we are trying to achieve, maybe to those who have first, or only encountered us through some gutter press shock-rock expose or hostile reviews...

Rockbitch are a group of female musicians who come from a sex commune. The community consists of many more persons than are in the band, but has only three male members. All the women are lesbian or bisexual, there are no exclusive monogamous couples. ...The community has been based in France for ten years, it was the dream of Amanda (The Bitch, The Bass) to create a feminist, matriarchal, tribal retreat where women could explore their sexuality and psyche.

Being a musician, it was inevitable that her driving obsessions would interlace in some way - so it was that the band initially was used as a recruiting organ for the right kind of women, until a coadunate number was reached. Then truly began the internal, private process of discovery, growth, and inspiration that lead to the external public expression that was to become that lifestyle's evangelical face.

What do we do and why do we do it...? From our perspective, Rockbitch are expressing their lifestyle - a pagan, pro-sex, feminine utopia - a rhetoric missile composed of the music we love and an inyaface sex-ritual stage show. Pretentious bullshit, marketing plan, or the truth ?
